Economics

There are two types of currency in Westeros - money and gold. The two can be exchanged with an Iron Bank Envoy. These are NPCs that mark signs at which you can buy/sell gold ingots for balance money.

Money is earned from bank transfers, other players, and some plugins. It is used to buy troops, place bounties on players, bet on duels, keep gold safe in the bank, etc. (see Combat for more info). You can check how much money you have in the bank anytime with the command /balance

Gold is the main currency used by the citizens of Westeros. Most of the NPCs you encounter will sell you items in exchange for gold ingots or gold blocks. Gold can be mined if you find it, but the easiest and fastest ways to acquire it are through selling crops, claiming bounties, or completing quests.

You can also set up your own player shop by purchasing a "Small Business Loan" from an Iron Bank Envoy. This allows you to safely sell any of your items to other players, even when you're offline! They can sell items, buy items, or trade for other items.
